When languages matters

If I said: Cando volte a casa o primeiro que quero facer, vela miña familia e os meus amigos e logo comer comida galega. Well right now I’m sure than only a couple of people understood what I wrote. But my family don’t know a perfect English, my grandparents don’t know English at all, most of the people where I live doesn’t know enough English for follow a common chat.
My point is that just for know English you are not going to be understand in the whole world. And some people think like this here in USA: I come from the biggest nation in the world, so everybody should understand and know English everywhere I go. Well I’m sorry for them but not everybody knows it, every nation is the biggest for their citizens and as much languages you know more culture and more idea you will have. Since I’m here I know more things about your culture and I try to show you mine. Thank you for teach me and thank for let me teach you.

Last days

Well today and tomorrow are Seniors last days in school before we graduate. We will be back on Tuesday but that is only for breakfast and graduation practice. I wont be out until tomorrow but I will be in only a few classes because I have one thing that I have to stay in the art room for. It has gone too fast for me but I will come back to visit my teachers. They have made me feel like I am liked and they will lend me a hand when I ask them for it. they will always be remembered but I will be doing a lot during my summer. I will be looking for a job and getting ready for college.
I hope that all the seniors have been enrolled in a college or know what they are doing so they can enroll next year.

Wild baby birds

Have you ever dear the saying “if you touch a baby bird, it’s mother wont take it back”? Well I just yesterday found a baby bird, that had fallen out of its nest. It was perfectly fine, no injury, just no way to get home. I couldn’t just sit there watching it cry and wait for it to die. So I picked it up, knowing I couldn’t do much, but I was willing to do anything to save this little bird. After a few minutes, I got it to eat some chopped up worms, and it started to act better. I was very proud of myself for getting the baby this far.
So I decided to take it with me inside to research how often I would need to feed it and everything, since I’m still in school. Every half hour a baby bird needs to be feed, and you can feed them with multiple things. Not just chopped worms, but little pieces of cottage cheese, or moist cat or dog food. Things that would give a baby bird all the nutrients it needs to grow and be healthy. Well, after I found out it needs to be feed every half hour, and at school I’d have no way to feed it, I assumed he would die.
Which made me very sad, so I looked up that little myth that I heard, in hopes that I could still replace him in his nest with his family. The research I found said that birds have very bad sense of smell, unless its a vulture, it most likely wont even know you had handled the little bird. So with my new knowledge, I went and places my little baby birdie back into his nest, and waited for his mother or father to come back home. Shortly after placing him home, I saw one of his parents come home, and I assume feed their babies.
Side note: If you do find a baby bird somewhere, and you see its mother near by, it’s probably learning to fly. So just let it be, or if you find a baby bird, the first thing you do is look for the nest it fell out of, and try to put him back. That’s the best shot for the baby bird to live, its hard for humans to give baby birds to nutrients it need to grow and be healthy.

Bad times for Kallaecia

It was night and the air was fresh and salty, the Moon was full on the top and the stars were shinning. The sea was calm like before the storm and the city was prepare for the worst. Everybody awake and prepare for the fight. The traitor “The Bean” send his corps for kill the last Kallaeci, but like I said before they been prepare and they fight the whole night and the whole day. Like one the Kallaeci attack the deadly psycho-ideas of “The Bean”. The corps run away for now…

“The Bean” was once a Kallaeci, but a destructive empire teach him as one of them hating the Kallaeci and everything relate to them.

The Corps came back with a malefic plan, took all the Kallaeci kids and raise them as empire ideas. Everything seems end for the Kallaeci, no daughters no sons no future or maybe … Yes there’s a future save the sons and daughters of Kallaecia. Only the ones who long time ago had been Kings can recover the kids, using their powers. Everything is on the air, “Ben, Ed and Gun”, the ancient Kings are weak and they need all the feelings of the Kallaeci for recover their power, the power of say no to “The Bean”. As the Kings come from the good things, “The Bean” comes from the bad ones.

Who knows the future of the Kallaeci ?

Click to view slideshow.Go-Stop is played with small thick cards with flower designs. The cards are called hwa-tu in Korea, and hanafuda in Japan. This type of card used to be the mainstay product of Japanese game company Nintendo, until videogames came along. Nintendo still makes them today, but as a sideline rather than its main business.

The cards can be used to play a variety of different games. The quick and fun Japanese game of Koi-Koi, while rarely played in Japan today, is extremely popular in Korea, where it’s called Go-Stop and is played by slightly different rules. Practically everybody in Korea plays Go-Stop. While I was in Korea in November, 2003, to attend the KGDC, I was channel-surfing on my hotel room TV one afternoon and saw a couple of housewives playing Go-Stop, on a daytime soap opera! In Korea, the game is so popular that you can get hwa-tu at any 7-11 or LG-25 convenience store. It’s that pervasive!

How to make a good speech

Making a good speech starts weeks before with thorough preparation. You should have been thinking of themes and points, noting down ideas and sources, crafting phrases and sentences.

If you are not using a microphone, be aware of the need to speak sufficiently loudly that the furthest member of your audience can hear you clearly. Take the opportunity to move around a little which will help to command attention.

You should convey a sense of enthusiasm for the subject. This will effect your delivery and how your speech is received.

Occasionally alter the speed, volume and tone of your delivery. Speaking slower or faster and quieter or louder and being more cheerful or more serious all adds dramatic effect and keeps the attention of your audience.

Regularly sweep your eyes left-centre-right and back and front-middle-rear and back, so that you engage all members of your audience.
Don’t make a rambling opening. Never apologise for your nervousness or your material. Make a dramatic opening which seizes the attention with the very first words. Have a very clear structure.

Consider the use of short sentences or even short phrases for dramatic effect. Use striking adjectives and adverbs. Consider the use of rhyme. Use contrasts. Make temporal comparisons. Make geographical comparisons. Compare and contrast your situation with other companies or other organisations or with other regions or other countries.

Use three-part lists. Very occasionally, consider a longer list.Repetition can be very effective. Use short, pithy quotes. Clever people over the years have created witty aphorisms, so you should borrow them when it is appropriate.

Try humour – not by telling a story, but by using a short, witticism. Self-deprecating humour often works well. Finish with a strong, affirmative statement, possibly referring back to the opening sentence or question .
Only use the techniques appropriate to the occasion. A speech in the mode of “We will fight them on the beaches” is not ideal for opening a church bazaar. An after-dinner speech needs lots of jokes, whereas an academic lecture needs lots of facts. In many respects, the most difficult speeches are family occasions like weddings and funerals – there are many sensitivities here, so think carefully about what you’re going to say.

If you are speaking to an international audience don’t use any of the language-specific tips such as alliteration, rhyme or puns and be careful not to use culturally-specific allusions or organisational jargon. Beware of speaking for too long.

Colors mean more to us than simply pigment. They are forms of energy, and as such speak to us and interact with us on a nonverbal level. In a very real way, life is color. Color affects every part of our lives, our emotions, our health.

And what colors we like tell us who we are.

The general meaning of colors:

Black — Evil, falsehood, error, grief, despair, death.

Gray — Formal, conservative

Blue — Chastity, loyalty, fidelity, faith, modesty, eternity, immortality.

Green — Love, joy, abundance, hope, youth, mirth, gladness, resurrection, spring.

Purple — Temperance, royalty

Red — Magnanimity, fortitude

White — Purity, truth, innocence, hope.

Ivory — Elegance

Brown — Wholesomeness, earthiness

Where people is optimist everything is “fine” ? Where the best food is always ” from my mom” ? Where we answer a question with another question ? Where’s is from Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra ? Where there is 17340 ?

This is a commercial from Galiza. It shows how we are mostly, we don’t care about rain, everything is fine, our food it’s the best and we always defended everywhere. We answer a question with another questions because we know the answer but we want to know if you know it. We don’t to the Caribbean sea for beaches because we already have.

That’s how we are, unique like any other people.

What does life mean to you? Do you feel like you have a purpose to live? I know that some things make you feel like what is the point in living but others its like you need to live because you meat the perfect person or you have done something worth living for. I know that I have had the feeling and I liked it but then I found he truth and it didn’t matter to me any more. I I have had the other feeling as well. it felt like no one cared about me and no one cared if I was around or not. I then found that if I was not around some people would miss me so I have not complained much after they told me that I was not going to kill myself because they cared about me.
